No Sleep Till Brooklyn

I’m not sure this is a good idea but I’m going to do it anyway.  That’s a ringing endorsement. I’m going to make a video log of me trying to make my August 15th deadline with a new draft of my WIP (work in progress).I get up early and so I will sound a little drunk in this first one. That’s kind of the idea. The other idea is that you will want to find your own crazy way to write that book in your head and now that you have a crazy companion it will feel more like a road trip and less like solitary confinement.

Sending you virtual Oreos, Mama. Hang in there!

Hang in there! I have to confess right now that it’s nice to know I’m not alone in my stupor. I’m forcing myself to get writing every day, but there is so much that is blah. Ah well, plunging along, I’m hoping the trail will clear again at some point soon. Good luck!

Heather! You don’t have to force yourself to write. Let me do it. Get going girl! FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!

Day 3 – You look so much happier! Yay! Thank you for this. I struggle with antagonists for all the reasons you stated, so this was helpful to me. Also, I love the sound of the wind blowing through the leaves behind your head. Beautiful writing music!

I’m all about those leaves too!

First of all, thank you for the virtual hug–I needed one. ;-). These vlog entries are terrific! I love that you’re not only accomplishing your own dealine goals, but you’re also helping us to further/strengthen our own work. Thanks for your generosity! Even in spite of my current fogginess, I’m grateful. 😉

Day 4 – Kris Chandler, you always say the perfect thing!

Aww, I feel so loved! Thank you–because otherwise, I feel kind of like hamburger meat. ;-). I love this idea of a quicker pace through writing sessions! I’m completely guilty of over thinking (which = time wasted). I’m going to implement this right now–I think that is just what I need. Thanks Kris! I’m so glad you’re in writer’s euphoria right now–you deserve nothing less!

KRIS! these are great. and you’re almost done. it’s like marathon mile 22! i’ve been channeling you this week, waking up around 4 to write (this morning it was earlier because i couldn’t sleep). i’ve been wishing you could sit on my shoulder while i write, dispensing your advice, and now here you are on my computer doing just that. wishing you the best of luck with your deadline. and i can’t wait to read this next story!

      Rachel!!!
You’re getting up at 4 *%$! am,too? Are you crazy? I’m so proud! I’m sure if I could read what you’re writing I would cartwheel or something else equally embarrassing. Keep it up!

Oops. I totally forgot to keep checking these, but I just watched Day 3 to the end and I LOVE these videos! They’re short and sweet and your tidbits of writing wisdom and motivation are really inspiring! In fact, I’ll probably come back to watch a couple when I need that extra push!

Congrats on finishing! I can’t wait to read it 🙂
